Early 19th century town pub that has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Three stone steps (ramp can be found in pub for wheelchair users) take you straight into the pub with its three rooms knocked into one, but remaining distinctly separate areas; brick chimney breast (with real fire in winter) separates two areas of the main bar and restaurant area(RHS through main door). Refurbished and under new ownership from December 2025.. Two regular cask ales and one changing cask ale are offered.
