This 16th-century pub balances the traditional and contemporary. An intimate front bar features four handpumps (not all necessarily in use at all times) while a larger main bar offers comfort for drinkers and diners. The large reappointed rear garden is a sunny summer haven. Excellent home-cooked food is served every day. Briefly operated by Big Smoke Brewery, the pub is now managed once again by Punch.
