Welcoming pub with historic connections to the Chartists, who had a short-lived community nearby. Up to six microbrewery beers are offered, covering a range of styles and strengths. Real ciders and a range of malt whiskies are stocked. Beer festivals, 'meet the brewer' evenings and charity quizzes are held throughout the year. There is a large outside pavilion for families.
